WHEN Celtic clinched the 2019/20 Premiership title, they equalled a Scottish domestic football record first set by Jock Stein’s immortal side of the 1960s and ‘70s. In doing so, Scott Brown and James Forrest joined the likes of Billy McNeill, Jimmy Johnstone and Bobby Lennox as the only stars to feature in all nine league-winning campaigns, and now Neil Lennon’s men are competing to make history once more in 2020/21.
Throughout nine in-a-row, there’ve been several highlights – the Invincibles, Double and Treble Trebles of the past few years, a monumental victory over Catalan giants Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League in 2012, and a historic Europa League win over Lazio in Rome in 2019, to name but a few – and now we want to know yours.
In our new fan feature, Nine From 9, the Celtic View asks Hoops fans to recall their stand-out memories during our last decade of dominance – from our first title-winning campaign of the current run in 2011/12, to our most recent league title of 2019/20, and all the games across all competitions in between.
This week’s entry comes from Sean Markus Clifford.
