I was part of the media team covering the Bhoys during a busy nine days in which they played four games and embarked on a number of rigorous training sessions to prepare for the resumption of competitive action.
There was a reason why Brendan Rodgers took his players back to the same location, just a few miles from the Czech border, for the second time in 12 months. Sitting in splendid isolation, it’s the perfect place to focus on intense fitness and tactical exercises without worrying about the glare of publicity or outside distractions.
It was the staging post for the Double Treble and here’s hoping it will be the preamble to another special season Paradise.
From a club media perspective, the secluded setting was ideal to sit down with the players and management team for some candid and fascinating interviews and features ahead of the new campaign.
