Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm F/4 IS PRO ₹1,79,55 0
The M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4 IS PRO lens is designed for Micro Four Thirds System and is the first lens from Olympus to have an in-lens ‘5-axis Sync IS’ – the optical image stabilization system in the lens can be used in conjunction with the camera-based sensor shift IS in compatible Olympus camera bodies – thus giving a whopping 6-stop effective reduction in camera shake! Of course, there’s more to it than just this. Read India’s first ever review of this lens in Smart Photography.
Design & Build Quality
The M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4 IS PRO lens is designed for Micro Four Thirds System and is built tough like a battle-tank. It incorporates 17 different weather seals to keep dust and water sprays from damaging the lens. The lens is also freeze proof – and hence can be used in very low temperatures. The lens is made in China (don’t let that fool you!) and carries a 1-year limited warranty. The lens weighs approximately 1475g and has a filter diameter of 77mm.
Key Features
The super telephoto M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4 IS PRO lens can be used on any Micro Four Thirds (MFT) camera body, irrespective of the manufacturer. When used thus, it provides an equivalent focal length of 600mm. Along with the very high degree of image stabilization (6-stop effective) that it offers with select Olympus camera bodies (OM-D EM-1 Mark II, with firmware version 4.0 and OM-D EM-5 Mark II with firmware version 2.0) plus the fast f/4 aperture, it is the perfect combination for tripod-less shooting. The lens offers an angle of view of 4.1 degrees.
