Giants coach Ben McAdoo believes the Giants running backs progressed nicely throughout the course of training camp.
“Our running backs are picking things up quickly,” he said.
McAdoo believes the team is doing a good job of evaluating the entire running back corps and stressed the importance of line drills in making them better.
“We’re evaluating all of our backs right now and they’re all getting plenty of reps; the combo half-line drill for us is an important drill, we’ll dust off the 9-on-7 and get that going, and those fundamental periods early in practice and the periods where we have the microscope on the running game are really important for us,” McAdoo said.
Running back Rashad Jennings feels there is optimism surrounding the team in terms of this year’s expectations.
“We know what kind of team we have; we can preach all day from offense to defense to special teams but very soon we will have an opportunity to prove it to ourselves and for our fans,” Jennings said.
