Northwest Huntsman
TGI: What was it like growing up in Yakima, Washington?

SL: Oh man, well Yakima as a whole has like a hundred thousand people, and everyone knew each other. There’s no traffic like here. It’s two different lifestyles but each has it’s own good points.

TGI: You’re a big outdoorsman, correct?

SL: Yeah. I love to fish, duck and pheasant hunt. And I deep sea and do some lake fishing. Also, I love anything to do on the mountains, camping, hiking, etc. If it’s an outdoor activity, the chances are I did it or will real soon.

TGI: How’s the knee feeling?

SL: It feels real good right now. It’s a daily process in getting it better every single day so I can get back out there with the guys and get back to work. But I’m on schedule to get back out there in a full capacity real soon.

TGI: Shane, when the injury first happened, what did you think?

SL: I really had no idea because I was never injured before. I never missed practice before and never had a serious injury. At the moment I didn’t know what to think, I knew something wasn’t right and knew I had to get it checked out. But thankfully it wasn’t anything serious.

TGI: You’re known as a guy who never missed a practice at Oregon. Were you mad that you had to miss time?
