Three adventurous Emiratis shatter Guinness records

It is Guinness World Records Day, the annual record-breaking day. This has been an unexpected year, therefore the GWR Day was welcomed with a positive response from people around the world hoping to unite positively after a very difficult year.

As with everything this year, GWR will be hosting a digital event, 24 Hours of RecordBreaking – to recognise the efforts people have put in around the world despite the restrictions.

Three Emiratis took part in the GWR Day and broke 4 different titles.

Dr. Khawla Al Romaithi managed to break the world record for the fastest time in travelling to all seven continents.

Omeir Saeed, 23, broke two GWR titles, farthest wake board ramp jump (male) and most wake board rail airs (supermans) in 30 seconds.

He is the UAE Open Men National champion from 2012-2020, he has been wakeboarding for as long as he could remember.

According to Saeed, “Having this global recognition in hand makes me proud as an Emirati, as this is certainly the jewel in the crown of so many years of achievement and success.”
