Dell Technologies is one of the world’s largest producers of server tech. And its Bengaluru R&D centre has been the source of many of the major advancements in its server products used globally. “We work on products here from the womb to the tomb. We conceptualise the product and then work through its lifecycle, after which we help retire it, and start thinking of the next product and technology trend,” says Sudha KV, vice president, Dell Technologies India.
In order to build software and hardware that works in an integrated manner and provide the specified capabilities, the Bengaluru test centre runs about 7 petabytes of networking traffic, 1,600 virtual machines and 1,400 test configurations to mimic all the possible customer scenarios.
