The Times of India Hyderabad|September 16, 2021
Mumbai: He has featured in only 19 Tests, in which he’s picked up 60 wickets, but England leg-spinner Adil Rashid has found his calling in the white-ball formats of the game. The man from Bradford, Yorkshire has picked 159 wickets in 112 ODIs@33.02, and 59 scalps in 62 T20Is@24.29.

Variation key to leggies' success in T20s: Rashid

The next two months promise a period of excitement for the 33-year-old leggie. The second half of the IPL will be the maiden stint of England’s star limited overs bowler in the glitzy T20 league. Post the IPL, there is the T20 World Cup in the UAE itself, where he would spearhead England’s aspirations.

For someone who’s played in T20 leagues around the world, Rashid is naturally thrilled to finally wear an IPL shirt. “I’m really looking forward to it. This is probably one of the best competitions going around in the world. You got the world’s best players here. So, for me to be out here just to experience that and hopefully play alongside them, I’m really looking forward to it. So, it should be a good time,” Rashid told TOI from Dubai in an exclusive interview on Wednesday.
