Line

Lines are very important in photography, which draw a viewer’s attention, in contrast to points, lines are more like a path for a viewer to follow. Or, they are the division between sky and ground. Lines also play an important role of merging two different elements of your shot. The lines can give a photograph structure, many a time, lines in a photograph are imaginary, but they’re still there. For example, a zig-zag road or an up-and-down mountain ridge, is usually a line. Lines in photography communicate the detail of emotions, helps creating it one of the strongest elements in photography.

Shape

In your photograph objects such as, a rectangular window a shapeless tree or a square wall can add “shape” in your photograph. Shape element can be used for framing the subject or just to add creative and interesting elements in your photographs. Example, in photography, you can represent unique and interesting shapes, by using a silhouette effect through backlighting your object.
