A 360-degree camera offers unlimited artistic possibilities in the hands of a creative person. There are a few options for 360-degree cameras such as the Ricoh Theta and GoPro Max. The Insta 360 One X2 combines the slim profile of the Theta with advanced features of the Max.
Design & Build Quality
The Insta 360 One X2 has a sturdy polycarbonate body with a matte finish and rubber shock-absorbent lining around the sides. The camera uses a large 1630 mAh removable battery. It uses a USB Type-C port for charging. Both the battery chamber and USB port have seals and indicators to ensure that it is protected from water ingress. The device is waterproof up to five metres of depth.
Key Features
The One X2 device has a power button on the one side and a record button on the front below the circular touch screen. The device houses two 7.2 mm equivalent lenses with f/2.0 apertures. Still images can be captured in Raw (DNG) or JPEG format while videos can be recorded in MP4 or INSV formats. The device records 360-degree footage at 5.7K. It offers FlowState image stabilisation and Steady Cam Mode that keep images and footages steady. The device features four microphones for 360-degree audio. The camera offers 150-degree and panorama options also for still images. It also features horizon lock feature, which keeps the horizon levelled in your footages. The X2 can be paired with an iOS or Android smartphone with the Insta 360 One R app. The device uses a microSD card for storage.
