How did you get into photography? Do you have any formal training in photography?
It all started when my husband bought an entry level mirrorless camera after our kid was born. We bought it to take pictures of our newborn. However, I slowly started to explore photography and became totally interested. I have always had an interest in creative fields and photography made me so happy. That is how it all began. I began to take photography seriously after I quit my IT job in 2018. I started doing a '365 days of photography' challenge in 2020 when I truly understood that photography was my true passion. Though I could not complete the challenge, it was such a learning experience and helped me hone my skills. I do not have any formal training in photography and all my learning has been via Youtube and practise. Learning is a continuous process and I am still learning every day.
Why did you choose food photography as your genre of choice?
I am basically a foodie and I am also interested in cooking. So, since food and photography go hand in hand for me, that is how I chose food photography as my genre. I also had a food blog which was also one of the reasons why I started food photography.
