Fallon dynasty continues within Celtic FC Foundation
HE had just left his work but he was already home. Sean Fallon glanced in the rear view mirror when driving out of Celtic Park. The emotion was powerful.
“I was born into this fantastic club, Sean Fallon Jnr, now 50, explained to the View. “I was brought up in it, and this is a special place for me and my family.
“My father was held in high regard by the Celtic support, so it was pretty emotional for me when I looked back at the stadium after my first day of work. I was never going to play for the club so it is wonderful to be contributing in another way.”
Sean has joined Celtic FC Foundation, as (interim) Sales and Engagement Manager, and he explained his role: “First and foremost, it is to continue to help raise funds, and the profile, of the Foundation so that we can continue to deliver over 30 live projects which address poverty, and the challenges that can bring to people’s lives in the East End of Glasgow and wider afield.
“I’ll do this by building on the existing relationships already in place - as a liaison between the Foundation and its supporters such as regular givers, supporters’ clubs, corporates, and other individuals, and then I’ll be looking at what opportunities I can grow to strengthen our engagement at all levels, so I am really looking forward to that,” he says.
“This club has always been part of my life and the Foundation is the most physical sign of what the club was formed for.’
