Each week it becomes a little more frustrating, a little harder to watch, a little more dysfunctional as fans and media alike try to sort through the mess that has come to be known as the New York Football Giants.

Even the most optimistic of bluebloods and media members — sometimes seemingly one and the same – have great difficulty defending the Giants anymore. Even the most understanding of folks bleeding blue, not anything resembling Big Blue for a long time now, feel pained by hearing recitals of general manager Dave Gettleman’s grand plan.

One of his hog mollies just allowed another sack.

… Another one just blew a blocking assignment.

… Yet another just placed a hold on the nose guard that would make Dana White proud.

The Giants look, on most days, to be a directionless franchise with mediocre players, poor coaching and dismal personnel evaluation.

Head coach Pat Shurmur, the offensive guru, unveils a batch of head-scratching play-calls on an almost weekly basis. He caps his Sunday workdays by generating even less confidence with hard-to-understand answers in post-game briefings.
