The Giant Insider recently caught up with Super Bowl XXV MVP, Ottis Anderson:
Q: What were your initial thoughts on the trade from the Cardinals to the Giants?
A: I had been in St. Louis for seven years and had a great relationship with the organization. I was sad to leave and go to a team that I was familiar with and played against.
Q: Thoughts on playing for Head Coach Bill Parcells:
A: Over a period of time, I became a “Parcells guy.” Initially he had a lot to do with getting me to the Giants. Jim Burt vouched for my character and I knew players like Tony Galbreath and George Martin.
Q: Thoughts on playing for Wellington Mara and the Mara family:
A: One of the things a veteran told me when I came into the league was, “Get to know your owner because in the end, he will be the person that will save you.” The Maras were very personable and Mr. Wellington was always around. He really tried to get to know each player.
Q: Who would you consider your toughest opponent?
