The shadow of the past looms large over Back 4 Blood. Hell, just in case it wasn’t clear that this was intended to be a Left 4 Dead follow-up, the team at Turtle Rock studios even follow the same naming convention by putting a number in the title. Perhaps it’s an early sign that this new take on zombie slaughtering was always going to struggle to carve out its own identity.
