Soapie puts together an episode to celebrate the life of the actor and his character
IT HAS been over a month since actor, musician and former soccer player, Dumi Masilela, has been laid to rest and Rhythm City is paying tribute to him by slotting his death into the storyline.
Hearts were broken when the lovable Dumi was brutally murdered in a suspected hijacking in Tembisa, leaving his wife and actress Simphiwe Ngema heartbroken.
SPECIAL MEMORIAL SERVICE
In what is expected to be a heart-rending scene, the memorial will feature the cast talking about the character.
Dumi’s character, Sifiso Ngema, is set to be killed in the soapie’s storyline next month. Dumi will appear for the last time on Rhythm City on October 11. This will be followed by a special onscreen memorial service in his honour on October 18. Sifiso will be involved in a hijacking resulting in his death. The story will be told by Shakes played by Zola Hashatsi.
