Go, Go, Go Joseph

2018 marks 50 years since the first performance of amusical created by the famous duo, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Tim Rice.

Their very first collaboration failed to find backing but their second, a 15-minute “pop cantata” commissioned for the Colet Court School in London, produced Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

First performed in 1968, are worked and lengthened version went on to launch in the West End in 1973.

Since then, there have been multiple productions at home and abroad, including 15 different West End, Broadway and regional theatre tours, plus a video film starring Donny Osmond and Any Dream Will Do, a popular television casting show.
