Joanna’s embarking on a chatty talking tour and a 7,000-mile journey along Asia’s Silk Road
She’s had an incredibly diverse and busy career, from modelling to acting, campaigning to travel presenting. And at 72, Joanna Lumley shows no signs of slowing down.
In fact, just meeting her for a chat leaves you feeling breathless as her enthusiasm for her work and life in general brims over and, boy, can she talk!
Fortunately, she is marvellously entertaining and great company…
Currently on TV travelling around Asia in the four-part series Joanna Lumley’s Silk Road, she tells us about the joys of travel and how she is looking forward to telling everyone about her life in her forthcoming one-woman theatre show.
“I’ve done lots of different things because, having moved from modelling to acting, I realised that as an actress you can’t always get work,” she says.
“So, I was always doing things like writing travel and diary pieces and books at the same time.
