Marilyn Monroe has always been my idol. With her crimson pout and trademark blonde locks, she oozes old-school glamour. So, it’s a real compliment when people tell me that one of my favourite new looks – a bold red lip paired with my bottle-blonde pixie crop – has an air of the Hollywood starlet about it. But it wasn’t until my teens that my desire to go blonde like my idol started to take hold. Her short, bouncy curls seemed so fun and full of life – not like my long, lacklustre, brown hair, which hung limply around my face.
