Ruth Langsford has spent most of her life a comfortable size 10-12. But, after the menopause hit, she – like many – found her weight slowly creeping up.
After spending years battling to come to terms with her new shape, and admitting, ‘I’ve really struggled with my weight in menopause,’ the 61-year-old Loose Women star has decided that life is too short to obsess over her size.
Instead, for Ruth, life is now all about balance and embracing her figure. ‘I’m very realistic,’ she says. ‘I’m never going to be a size 10 again, and don’t want to be, actually. I’m fine with my weight.’
Still working hard
Ruth’s change in shape hasn’t impacted her fitness levels. The presenter is regularly seen skipping, taking her beloved dog Maggie on long walks and smashing her daily 10,000 steps.
