Carol Vorderman opens up about the highs and lows of going through ‘the change’…
Carol Vorderman has always been an upbeat and positive face on TV, but the 58-year-old former Countdown host has now confessed that going through the menopause gave her depression.
I’d wake up and think, “I don’t see the point in carrying on, I just don’t see the point in life”, and there was no reason to feel that way,’ she explained. ‘I went through this terrible hormonal depression and I don’t use that word lightly – it really was awful.’
Her secret revealed
Luckily, Carol has now come through the other side – something she puts down to bioidentical gels, which she used for a month to help balance out her hormones.
She even claims that the treatment has helped her maintain her famous bottom – for which she’s won Rear of the Year twice.
