I believe that a very defiant Meghan has set herself on a collision course with Buckingham Palace after mounting claims she was the ‘bully not the victim’.
The Duchess of Sussex’s legal team is said to be demanding ‘full disclosure’ of documents relating to allegations that she ‘bullied at least two members of palace staff out of a job’ during the months after the royal wedding.
And, as the formal investigation heats up, my insider tells me, ‘Meghan is determined to refute each of the claims made against her one by one.’
Now, though, it is reported that 10 former or current palace staff who worked closely with the duchess before she quit royal life have come forward to aid the investigation.
Legal challenges
With increasing battle lines being drawn on both sides, there seems little chance of the matter being quietly resolved behind the scenes, which is usual protocol with royal household employment disputes. But, there is nothing normal about this situation.
While many may be surprised by Meghan’s determination to fight the allegations in public, close friends of the duchess say this is typical of the outgoing actress-turned-royal-bride.
