Herbal products are topping the health and well being charts. Their popularity has increased dramatically in recent years and, as a nation, we spend well over £100 million on them every year. Derived from plants, they’re seen as ‘natural’ and therefore safe. many of us wouldn’t think twice about taking them – after all, what harm could they do?
Well, a recent study by the British Herbal Medicine Association (BHMA) might make us pay a little more attention. Their worrying results reveal that not everything is quite what it appears when it comes to herbal remedies…
