My Last Meal?Marmite Crisp Sandwiches!

Ever since Nadiya Hussain won The Great British Bake Off in 2015, she’s been a woman in demand. Just last year the star baker, 32, hosted  her own BBC documentary, The Chronicles Of Nadiya, judged Junior Bake Off and appeared as a panellist on Loose Women. Add to that her cookbooks, baking a cake for the Queen’s 90th birthday and writing her debut novel, and you’ve certainly got a recipe for huge success! We sat down with Nadiya, married to IT worker Abdal and mum to Musa, 10, Dawud, nine, and Maryam, six, to hear about family life and her unusual guilty pleasures…

Hi Nadiya! 2016 was an incredible year for you, what was your highlight?

The whole year was like a dream, I’ve been so busy and so tired most of the time! But I think it has to be baking the cake for the Queen, that was amazing. It’s only when my dad introduces me as, ‘This is my daughter and she made a cake for the Queen,’ that it dawns on me.

Do you have to pinch yourself that so much has happened since you won Bake Off ?

Yes, I have pinched myself until I am blue! It’s times when I’m just laying in the bath tub that I think, ‘Oh my goodness,’ and I realise. I’m just loving every moment of it.

Is there still a big dream for 2017 that you would love to fulfill?
