Paddy McGuinness and his wife Christine have spoken candidly about the difficulties of parenting their three children – who all have autism – during the recent lockdown, and how their daughter Felicity, four, and twins Penelope and Leo, seven, regressed when they were cut off from school.

Christine said, ‘It’s been an uphill struggle. The children were getting a lot of support at school but that all stopped. Suddenly we had to become therapists for them and it wasn’t going too well.’

But the former Real Housewives of Cheshire star said the change of pace meant they appreciated the breakthrough moments.
