Adele’s former husband may well have just landed a multimillion-dollar divorce windfall, but his life is far from glamorous and totally removed from that of his famous ex.

After spending years in the shadow of one of the world’s most popular and wealthy musicians in Los Angeles, Woman’s Day can reveal Simon Konecki now has a new, much more humble life in the UK.

While Adele, 32, resides in a $12.5 million mansion that boasts neighbours like Katy Perry, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis and Cameron Diaz, her ex Simon, 46, spends his days in the working-class seaside town of Portslade, just a few kilometres from Brighton.

It’s home to the water charity Drop4Drop, which he set up in 2006. The group provides clean water supplies to Third World countries, and the dingy offices situated on an industrial estate couldn’t be more different from Adele’s Hollywood existence.
