Elton John is finally putting his health first for the sake of his sons

He’s used to indulging in the finer things in life, but Sir Elton John reveals he’s now in the best shape ever after embarking on a serious health kick during the COVID-19 lockdown.

After decades of living frivolously and following a consultation with medical experts, the 74-year-old singer says he undertook a serious lifestyle overhaul, which saw him begin a rigorous exercise regimen. Now it’s seen him drop more than 13kg!

“During lockdown I’ve really gotten fit. I’ve walked in the pool, I’ve played tennis,” Elton revealed on a recent episode of British footballer Troy Deeney’s Deeney Talks podcast.

“I’m at probably my fittest I’ve been in a long time and I feel great. I’ve really put pedal to the metal, I walk in the swimming pool and I’ve walked 42 miles [68km] since the beginning of the year – sideways.
