The judges weigh in on the final three cooks

It’s been a long road for the top three contestants on MasterChef Australia. Fighting it out in the kitchen through mystery boxes, celebrity challenges and elimination pressure tests, finalists Pete Campbell, Kishwar Chowdhury and Justin Narayan have certainly earned their rightful place in the grand finale.

But while they all have their strengths, to the show’s trio of judges, it’s clear Pete has grown most during the competition.

“He came from cooking meat-and-three-veg for his wife and kids at home, to devising and presenting some of the most creative, restaurant-worthy dishes I’ve tasted in the MasterChef kitchen so far,” says judge Andy Allen, 33.

The tattoo artist’s passion for food has been evolving since he started cooking six years ago, but it wasn’t until he entered the competition that he realised his dream of becoming a chef, one that Melissa thinks he’ll definitely achieve.
