Choosing a Spinning Wheel

Expense is often an important factor when buying a wheel, but the most expensive is not always the best. E expensive is not always the best. Avoid choosing a wheel because of the way it looks without understanding how it works. I recommend that you take a friend who is a spinner with you especially if you are buying second-hand as you are not likely to know whether the wheel is balanced correctly or treadles smoothly, or if any of the parts are missing and how much they will cost to replace.
