THE YEAR 2024 CAN be dubbed as one of many upsets when consumer and market sentiment surprised the industry. Despite this, businesses and brands in India continued their journey of engaging consumers. In the past year, several brands beat the odds to make a impact on the market. These leaders feature in the 2024 edition of BW Top Marketers. "The BW Top 100 Marketers is a significant initiative for both BW Businessworld and BW Marketing World, as it honours the visionaries whose leadership is critical to driving business growth. Brands are integral to people's lives, and creativity has the power to address large-scale challenges-a fact we have witnessed firsthand. These top marketers are the catalysts behind this transformation, making meaningful progress and driving positive change," comments BW Businessworld Group's Chairman & Editor-inChief Dr Annurag Batra.
This year, more than 27 per cent of this power list comprises women leaders, indicating a consistent move towards gender parity in India's C-suite. Women leaders are doing well in a wide array of sectors including FMCG, tech, auto and alco-beverages, in addition to the likes of BFSI and healthcare.
As marketing leaders take on larger mandates, running businesses and P&Ls, the third edition of BW Top Marketers makes a special shout-out to the 'Grandmasters. These leaders reiterate that marketing is the growth engine in companies and is ultimately the linchpin of driving business outcomes.
"The list is in its third year, and each year, we witness an encouraging increase in the representation of women leaders on the list, which is astep forward in the right direction. This year, the inclusion of many emerging companies and young leaders highlights the remarkable work being accomplished across India, showcasing the breadth of innovation and progress in the country," adds BW Businessworld's Group Editorial Director, Noor Fathima Warsia.
