In 2015, he introduced Beacon as an economical hotel brand, with a visionary goal of achieving 100 operational hotels by 2023.
Suhail has consistently ensured high operating standards across the entire portfolio. The Fern Hotels & Resorts 100th property milestone marks the culmination of his unwavering dedication and serves as a testament to his leadership and strategic vision.
Excerpts from our interview with him:
Did you always want to be an hotelier?
What triggered your interest in hospitality? Well, throughout school, I was more influenced by my mother's side of the family and wanted to become a dentist. However, hospitality and becoming an hotelier was the most fulfilling choice. As I pursued my education from IHM Mumbai, the experiences provided invaluable insights into the dynamic and fast-paced nature of the industry.
Additionally, I was fortunate to have my father, Param Kannamilly, as my mentor who guided and inspired me along the way. The ability to make a positive impact on people's lives, both guests and team members alike, continues to be a driving force behind my dedication to the hospitality industry.
How did The Fern Hotels & Resorts come into place?
