It's the most intimate portrait of family life ever shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales and without doubt their most personal and extraordinary.
In a stunningly shot three-minute video, Prince William and Kate appear in idyllic scenes alongside their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as the Princess reveals she is entering "a new phase of recovery" from cancer and feeling hopeful about what lies ahead.
"She is in a positive place," a friend says. "She is feeling well and looking to the future, focusing on the things that matter to her most." In a heartfelt voiceover on the video, Kate, 42, reveals that her chemotherapy treatment has ended and that she will return to royal duties this autumn, prompting an outpouring of love and support from royal fans across the globe.
Describing how the past nine months have been "incredibly tough" for the Waleses as a family, she says that the "cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone".
She adds: "Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.
"I am, however, looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months, when I can.
"Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life." Knowing that her family's situation will change yet again when Prince William, 42, becomes King and she is Queen, Kate is savouring precious family moments while doing everything she can to aid her return to full health.
"She needs to do this now; it's so important," a source tells HELLO!. "The commitment to duty and service from both of them is unwavering, and that won't change.
