Sources say the sports network decided to ditch the gridiron motormouth from the weekly gig after Jimmy complained to top execs at his network ESPN's parent company - about Rodgers' bizarre comments linking him to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The decision, according to sources, was a no brainer because Rodgers - who ruptured his Achilles tendon just four plays into his heralded debut season with the New York Jets - had a $1 million price tag and the show still bombed as badly as the jock's team! "Rodgers is a lightning rod for controversy and recently had nothing positive to show for it on or off the field!" snipes an insider.
