Radiant Ruth just wants to have fun

Since announcing she and Eamonn Holmes were divorcing last summer, Ruth Langsford has given herself a makeover - and a source tells new that 2025 is going to be her year

Last year was difficult for Loose Women presenter, Ruth Langsford, as she split up with her husband, Eamonn Holmes, in May after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together. According to a source, friends are encouraging the presenter to get back out there and start dating again - but she's not quite ready for that.

Their separation must have been tough for Ruth, especially when a matter of months later, Eamonn, 65, was seen stepping out with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander, before they finally went public as a couple at the TRIC Awards in December.

But a source tells New that 2025 really is the year when Ruth will let her hair down and get back out there. They say that while Ruth is definitely ready to leave Eamonn in the past, she isn't quite willing to dip her toe in the dating pool just yet.

"She's not ready to date, it's not her priority and she just wants to have fun," the source claimed. "Her friends are all telling her to, but she's not there yet."

But they add that the year ahead will undoubtedly be one full of positives for the television star. "This is Ruth's year - she wants all good vibes and positive energy," said the source. "She wants to be surrounded by good people and is putting all of her energy into her new range of clothes with QVC, work and having a great time."
