Kate stays STRONG

The Princess of Wales is the first to admit it’s been a roller-coaster year so far. With her father-in-law’s coronation looming, her husband making a topsecret visit to frontline soldiers in the Ukranian war, and generally finding her feet in her new, more senior position within the monarchy, Kate has packed more into the past four months than most mere mortals cram in a lifetime.

Making it all the more impressive is that she’s handled this while moving her three kids – Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4 – into a new home with less help, and all the while dealing with ongoing uncertainty over her strained relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

At the time of press, it was still unconfirmed whether Meghan and Harry had accepted their invitation to King Charles’ coronation on May 6, prompting some insiders close to the Waleses to wonder if their indecision has been on purpose to rattle The Firm.

“There have been certain details to iron out, but the not knowing whether they’re returning to London or not has created a sense of unease among courtiers and even the royals themselves,” confesses one well-placed source. “You have to wonder whether the Sussexes are enjoying the idea of making the royals – especially Will and Kate, who they have a particular vendetta against – feel uncertain about how it’s all going to pan out.”

But if there’s any lingering discomfort from Kate, 41, over whether she’s about to come face to face with her sister-in-law after Meghan took to Netflix to insinuate she was snobbish and cold, the future queen isn’t about to show it.
