Shock reunion

After years of public feuding, it seems Britney Spears and her mother Lynne have finally reached a truce. On May 24, the 68-year-old paid a long-awaited visit to the singer’s Hollywood home after years of estrangement, with insiders revealing the pair have been “texting more frequently” of late.

“My sweet mama showed up at my door step yesterday after 3 years … it’s been such a long time,” Britney shared on Instagram the following day, alongside a throwback snap of herself as a child. “With family there’s always things that need to be worked out … but time heals all wounds !!! … Psss… I’m so blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years !!! Let’s go shopping afterwards !!!”

While the meet-up may have only lasted 30 minutes, it’s a big step in repairing their fractured relationship. Over the years, Britney, 41, has repeatedly blamed her mother for allowing her “abusive” conservatorship to be put in place by her father, Jamie Spears, in 2008 and even claimed that she was actually the brains behind it.
