STAYING SILENT

Back in 2017, a recently-single Brad Pitt spoke of his refusal to participate in what he labelled as “vitriolic hatred” when it came to his split with Angelina Jolie.

“Fortunately my partner in this agrees,” he told GQ Style at the time. “I see it happen to friends – I see where the one spouse literally can’t tell their own part in it, and it’s still competing with the other in some way and wants to destroy them, and needs vindication by destruction, and just wasting years on that hatred. I don’t want to live that way.”

His words seem almost laughable now. More than seven years on from filing for divorce and the pair are still at loggerheads over a myriad of issues, the custody agreement of their children included. However, it seems the older three – who are no longer obligated to see their father as per the joint custody arrangements in place at the moment because of their age – have long made up their minds on where their allegiances lie.

Last week, a 2020 Instagram post from Pax, 20, had resurfaced calling Pitt a “f--king awful human being”. “You time and time and again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person,” the post shared from his private Instagram account read, according to the Daily Mail. “You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence. You will never understand the damage you have done to my family because you are incapable of doing so.”
