Martindale plays tough maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry in the six-episode series based on the Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist of 201112. The gang forms when Ruth, whose livelihood is threatened by bureaucrats, is convinced by opportunistic, short-fused mobster Mike Byrne (Chris Diamantopoulos) and naive security guard Remy Bouchard (Guillaume Cyr) to join their multimillion-dollar burglary of Quebec's surplus syrup. The laughs get thicker when Jamie Lee Curtis shows up as an antagonist, but it's all a hilarious mess. Diamantopoulos adds, "The plan, while fallible, isn't without some brilliance."-Kate Hahn

Having wreaked havoc in the afterlife for four seasons on The Good Place, Ted Danson (above) is reuniting with his old boss Mike Schur to take on the golden years in this poignant comedy. Inspired by 2020's Oscar-nominated Chilean documentary The Mole Agent, Man casts Danson as Charles, a widower who answers a private investigator's newspaper ad after his daughter (Mary Elizabeth Ellis) begs him to find a hobby.
