NEW FACTUAL
The Dog Academy Thursday, 8pm, C4 (box set, All 4)
As the host of It’s Me or the Dog, Victoria Stilwell is no stranger to problematic pooches. Now, the renowned dog trainer is leading a team of fellow experts in C4’s The Dog Academy, in which they help unruly canines and their owners.
‘It’s all about training in a positive way,’ says Stilwell, 53, who’s worked with dogs for more than 30 years. ‘You don’t have to be punishing or correcting dogs, as that negativity creates more stress and anxiety for them and owners. Our focus is to find the “why” to their behaviour, and repair it.’
