NEW DRAMA Succession Monday, 9pm, Sky Atlantic
It’s been less than five years since Succession exploded on to our screens in a hail of razor-sharp one-liners and four-letter expletives. But in that short time, it’s become one of the most critically acclaimed shows in TV history.
In a captivating tale of boardroom betrayals and obscene opulence, we’ve seen Logan Roy’s three youngest children – Kendall, Shiv and Roman – go to war with their father and each other as they fight for control of his billion-dollar media empire.
This week, the multi-Emmywinning family drama returns to Sky Atlantic for a fourth and final 10-part season. And as the battle for Waystar Royco becomes more brutal than ever, there’s just one question on everyone’s lips – who will succeed?
‘There’s a promise in the title of the show,’ says creator Jesse Armstrong. ‘I’ve never thought Succession could go on forever, and the end has always been present in my mind. We could have gone on for ages and turned the show into something different, but hopefully we’ve done something a bit more muscular, and we’ll go out strong.’
