River WILD

TRAVELOGUE
Fiennes: Return to the Wild
Sunday, 8pm, National Geographic
Five years ago, actor Joseph Fiennes joined his explorer cousin Sir Ranulph on a memorable TV journey, retracing Sir Ranulph’s 1969 expedition up the River Nile. Now, the pair have reunited for a daring mission across one of Canada’s most untamed regions.
In two-parter Fiennes: Return to the Wild, the cousins follow the route of Sir Ranulph’s epic 1971 quest across British Columbia when the then 27-year-old adventurer and three former Army comrades embarked on the first recorded transnavigation of British Columbia entirely by river, a journey of 2,400km.
