Comedy legend Eddie Murphy has been enjoying quite the renaissance in recent years, thanks to hit sequel Coming 2 America (2021) and Netflix romcom You People (2023).
But despite a hiatus in the 2010s, the 62-yearold star doesn’t call it a comeback.
‘I’ve been making movies for 40 years, and every five years, they say I’m coming back,’ laughs Murphy, who shot to fame in the 1980s with films including Beverly Hills Cop and Trading Places. ‘I’ve played everything from a donkey to a professor. I’ve been the cops, I’ve been a robber and I’ve been a doctor talking to animals.’
