Brighton ROCKED

GRACE
NEW SUNDAY, 8PM, ITV1 DRAMA (BOX SET, ITVX)

Tenacious Detective Superintendent Roy Grace is no stranger to heartache.

The Brighton-based cop (played by John Simm) spent years living with the shadow of his missing wife, Sandy (Clare Calbraith), hanging over him before the mystery was resolved in the Series 4 finale of ITV1's Grace, as he finally came face to face with her in a Munich hospital. But his world was turned upside down again when Sandy died shortly afterwards, leaving Roy a note revealing that he had a secret son, Bruno, and asking him to look out for the lad.

As the fifth run of the acclaimed drama begins this week, there is more emotional turmoil for Roy and his fiancée, forensic pathologist Cleo Morey (Zoë Tapper), following the sad loss of their unborn baby.

As the couple try to cope with their grief while navigating the challenges of parenting young Bruno (Finn Guegan), who is now residing with his grandparents in England, Roy and his trusted colleague DI Glenn Branson (Richie Campbell) must unravel another four complicated cases: Dead If You Don't, Dead at First Sight, Need You Dead and Find Them Dead, inspired by the best-selling novels of the same names by Peter James.

TV Times caught up with John, 54, and Richie, 42, to find out more...
