A Weatherfield baby's arrival is usually cause for celebration, but when Dee-Dee gives birth this week, she's left with some mental scars that are likely to last a lifetime.

And, sadly, her ordeal could have been avoided if only she'd been listened to.

The experience caps off a horrendous year for the kindly solicitor, who backed out of an abortion so her baby could be a 'saviour sibling' for half-brother Frankie, who needs a stem-cell transplant...only to then discover another donor had been found.
