RECIPES FOR LOVE & MURDER
NEW - FROM MON 5 SEPTEMBER, ACORN TV DRAMA
Comfort food, cosy mysteries, and a compelling amateur detective are the unusual mix of ingredients as Acorn TV serves up a new contemporary drama, Recipes f Love & Murder.
Based on the bestselling Tannie Maria mystery novels by Sally Andrew, the 10-part series which will air in double bills every Monday - is set in a small town within the stunning region of Karoo in South Africa and sees Maria Doyle Kennedy (Outlander) play a newspaper cookery writer turned agony aunt who investigates crimes in between sharing her mouth-watering culinary creations.
Tannie (which means 'aunt' in Afrikaans) Maria's new sleuthing career starts when a woman who contacted her advice column is found brutally murdered. Joining forces with a colleague, risk-taking rookie journalist Jessie (newcomer Kylie Fisher), Maria decides to try to catch the killer before the death toll rises.
