Make ROOM!

SORT YOUR LIFE OUT
NEW THURSDAY, 8PM, BBC1 FACTUAL
Stacey Solomon is in a very jubilant mood. Her BBC1 makeover show Sort Your Life Out has just been shortlisted for the Factual gong at this year’s National Television Awards (see page 4), and she’s as pleased as punch.
‘It’s so exciting,’ enthuses the 33-year-old. ‘I’ve been nominated as part of Loose Women before, but I’ve never had a show that I get to be at the front of be nominated. So I’m over the moon.’
Stacey is equally happy to be back presenting a third series of Sort Your Life Out, in which, once again, she and her crack team of professional organiser Dilly Carter, cleaning guru Iwan Carrington and upcycler Robert Bent help families declutter their houses in seven days.
Each week, one family, beginning with the Watlings, pack up all their possessions so they can be laid out in a giant warehouse. They then decide what they want to keep, recycle, donate or sell. It is both an emotional and transforming experience.
Here, mum-of-five Stacey, who’s married to ex-EastEnder Joe Swash, tells us why she adores making the show…
How close to your heart is Sort Your Life Out?
I genuinely love it. I know that, if I wasn’t filming this show, I’d still be doing this sort of stuff at home myself because I get such enjoyment out of organising and fixing things.
