THE WHITE LOTUS
NEW MONDAY, 9PM, SKY ATLANTIC
COMEDY DRAMA
The trip of a lifetime descends into a holiday from hell once again when Sky Atlantic's glossy US comedy drama The White Lotus returns this week.
Each season of writer and director Mike White's award-winning satire features a new cast and takes place at a different international destination, with the setting for this third instalment being Thailand.
The holidaymakers this time around include successful businessman Timothy (Archie's Jason Isaacs) and his family, while actor Jaclyn (Echoes star Michelle Monaghan) has brought her two best friends for a long-overdue catch-up, and free spirit Chelsea (Sex Education favourite Aimee Lou Wood) arrives with tetchy boyfriend Rick (Fallout's Walton Goggins).
There's also a familiar face in the mix, as Belinda (Natasha Rothwell), who was introduced in the first series as the spa manager of The White Lotus in Hawaii, now checks in to its counterpart. When we last saw her, she was heartbroken after flighty guest Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) pulled out of a plan to fund her business dreams, but she's now focusing on a new opportunity.
As always, the story begins with a flash forward where at least one character meets an untimely end that will be explained by the end of the eight-part run.
TV Times caught up with Michelle, Aimee and Natasha to get their take on this latest chapter...
