OVER the years the Kardashian-Jenner clan have been accused of pushing unrealistic body standards, flaunting their hourglass figures and washboard abs on social media, pouting their puffy lips and having enough glow-ups to make them luminous.
They’ve also been accused of heavily editing their pictures to create the “perfect image” – but recently they’ve dialled back a bit and are all about keeping it natural. And leading the charge is Kourtney Kardashian (45), who has a message to share with new moms: “Your body is beautiful at all stages”.
Since giving birth to her and rocker husband Travis Barker’s son, Rocky, six months ago she’s been sharing a lot about her postpartum life in all its honest glory.
There have been images of her looking curvy in a bikini, another shows her using a breast pump while lounging in lingerie. She’s also been promoting her line of pre-and post-natal vitamins and supplements and encouraging new moms to go easy on themselves.
“During pregnancy as we’re glowing and growing, postpartum we’re healing and shrinking, and then that period I find the hardest as our bodies are still adjusting.
Kourtney, who’s also mom to Mason (14), Penelope (11) and Reign (9), previously opened up about her eight-month journey with IVF to conceive Rocky and her weight gain during the process. “I’ve learnt to accept my new size,” she says.
Kourt isn’t the only famous mom to speak out in the early months of motherhood – other A-listers have also been sharing their struggles and spreading body positivity.
