The Tiffany Blue Book is a celebration of the American jeweller's status as the Diamond King, highlighting its craftsmanship and exceptional stones. The Book traces its origins back to 1845, when it first appeared as a mail-order catalogue, and it has since evolved to become what it is today - an annual showcase of Tiffany's most exceptional and rare high jewellery collections.
This year's Blue Book is even more special. It is the largest ever for the brand and also marks the first collection by Tiffany's new chief artistic officer Nathalie Verdeille, an industry veteran who has racked up experience working with other established jewellers. For this edition, she looked at the fantastical work of Tiffany's long-time collaborator, the late French jewellery designer Jean Schlumberger.
Jean Schlumberger is a familiar name in the Tiffany universe. His career with the jeweller started in 1956 and lasted over 20 years. In fact, he was responsible for some of Tiffany's most iconic designs, like the famous Bird on a Rock brooch and the Ribbon Rosette necklace worn by Audrey Hepburn, which featured the legendary Tiffany yellow diamond boasting a whopping 128 carats.
