I read an article recently – not in this fine magazine, obviously – saying that we should all paint our homes dark, sludgey colours. Brown was mentioned quite a lot. Ditto grey. Not since the time I accidentally read something in the Daily Mail in 2016 arguing in favour of Brexit have I disagreed with an article so strongly. No! What is this madness? Is the British sky not sufficiently sludgey that you have to bring it inside?
